About Our Festival

The season will host special live events that engage, bring together and celebrate film exhibition and film in post lockdown in some of the most deprived communities within the city. INSPIRE festival is mindful of recent world events and will be a hybrid season that will host and screen hopeful films that champion BAME narratives with positive viewpoints with enhanced screenings.

Children of Heaven

After a boy loses his sister's pair of shoes, he goes on a series of adventures in order to find them. When he can't, he tries a new way to "win" a new pair.

Cinema Paradiso

Hunt for the Wilderpeople

A filmmaker recalls his childhood when falling in love with the pictures at the cinema of his home village and forms a deep friendship with the cinema's projectionist.

A national manhunt is ordered for a rebellious kid and his foster uncle who go missing in the wild New Zealand bush.

Beasts of the Southern Wild

Faced with both her hot-tempered father's fading health and melting ice-caps that flood her ramshackle bayou community and unleash ancient aurochs, six-year-old Hushpuppy must learn the ways of courage and love.


Aladdin Live Screening

A kind-hearted street urchin and a power-hungry Grand Vizier vie for a magic lamp that has the power to make their deepest wishes come true.
